Dr. Anastasia Kanellou, PhD

Professor of Nutrition & Weight Loss, Nutrigenetics Consultant

Dr. Anastasia Kanellou graduated from the German School of Athens (Deutsche Schule Athen) and studied Human Nutrition at the "Justus Liebig University" in Giessen, Germany, from which she graduated in 1991 with the Dipl.oec.troph degree (equivalent to British Masters in Science) and her PhD degree (Dr. oec. troph) in 1999. Since 1992 she has worked in European research programs, as a research assistant at the Athens School of Public Health, Dept of Nutrition and Biochemistry, has cooperated with the Department of Nutrition "Kings College" in London (in the same context), has been junior and senior lecturer in Nutrition at the Harokopeio University and at the Technical Educational Institute (TEI). Since 2003 she was an assistant Professor in Nutrition at the Technical Educational Institute ofAthens, since 2012 a Professor at the same Institute, and since March 2018 a Professor at the University of West Attica, in Greece. She is also a nutrition consultant since 1992 with experience in Weight loss, Mediterranean diet and Nutrigenetics.
